"˜Unrecognized'
45 "˜Unrecognized' Bedouin villages do not appear on official Israeli maps and their 76,000 residents are invisible citizens. Since 1948, the Bedouin have been struggling to obtain full, official recognition of their ownership rights to the land on which they live. The frustration has a strong impact on the younger generation of Bedouin, both alienated from the wider Israeli society, and indifferent to their own people's struggle.
